3 bulgogi recipes to taste an authentic Korean dish

Traditional from Korea, bulgogi is the ideal dish for those who enjoy the characteristic flavor of East Asian cuisine: full of spices, vegetables and with a bittersweet touch that brings sophistication and identity to the dish. Check out these recipes and travel through taste!

1. Simple Bulgogi

Ingredients

  • 700 g beef rib fillet
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup chives
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 80 ml of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 1 cup bean sprouts

Method of preparation

  1. Slice the rib fillet into thin strips and set aside;
  2. In a blender, blend 1/2 onion with garlic, chives, brown sugar, black pepper, soy sauce and sesame oil for about 1 minute;
  3. Pour this sauce over the meat and add 1/2 chopped onion to the mixture;
  4. Stir well and let marinate for 30 minutes;
  5. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and add the meat with the sauce and onion;
  6. Fry everything until cooked and, at the end, add the bean sprouts and cook briefly;
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

2. Bulgogi com Ajinomoto

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of beef rump
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 head of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of Ajinomoto
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 100 ml of soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Method of preparation

  1. Slice the rump into small cubes and reserve in a large bowl;
  2. Chop the chives into large pieces, about 3 fingers thick;
  3. Cut the onion into strips;
  4. Peel and chop the garlic cloves into very small pieces;
  5. Place these chopped vegetables in the meat bowl and stir with your hands;
  6. Season the meat with Ajinomoto, sugar and salt and mix well;
  7. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, vegetable oil and sesame seeds and stir again;
  8. Heat the butter in a frying pan and add all the meat mixture;
  9. Fry until you reach the desired point and serve!

3. Bulgogi marinated in apple sauce

Ingredients

  • 150 ml of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 80 ml sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons of ginger
  • 1 apple
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 onions
  • 400 g of beef
  • 1 carrot
  • chives to taste
  • sesame oil for frying

Method of preparation

  1. In a blender, beat the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, ginger, apple, garlic and 1 onion until smooth;
  2. Slice the meat into very thin fillets;
  3. Pour the sauce over the fillets and leave to marinate overnight;
  4. Slice the other onion into rings;
  5. Cut the carrot into thin sticks;
  6. Chop the chives into thin strips;
  7. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the meat in the sauce;
  8. Just before turning off, add the onion, carrot and chives and sauté a little longer;
  9. Enjoy!
