3 vegan meat recipes to avoid animal products

1. Gluten-free vegan meat (seitan)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of wheat flour
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Shoyu to taste
  • chimichurri to taste
  • liquid smoke to taste
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation

  1. Put the wheat flour in a container and add the water;
  2. Mix well, with your hands, until it becomes a homogeneous mass;
  3. Cover this dough with water and let it rest for 8 hours;
  4. Wash the pasta well in running water until only clear water is released;
  5. Take this dough to a pressure cooker and add the onion, garlic, bay leaves, olive oil, soy sauce, chimichurri, liquid smoke and salt;
  6. Cover the pasta with water and cook under pressure for 20 minutes;
  7. Put the seitan and broth in a container and leave it in the fridge for about 8 hours;
  8. Slice the seitan into thin strips and fry with oil and soy sauce in a frying pan;
  9. enjoy!

2. Vegan jackfruit meat

Ingredients

  • oil to taste
  • 1 jackfruit

Method of preparation

  1. Before handling the jackfruit, grease your hands and the blade of a knife with oil;
  2. Slice the jackfruit into pieces and then clean it, removing the jackfruit “milk”;
  3. Take the jackfruit pieces to a pressure cooker, cover with water and cook under pressure for 15 minutes;
  4. Drain the water and wait for it to cool;
  5. Remove the brains, rind and seeds of the jackfruit and shred the meat;
  6. Now, just prepare your favorite recipe with jackfruit meat!

3. Vegan cashew meat

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe cashews
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • olive oil to taste
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • White pepper
  • oregano to taste

Method of preparation

  1. Make four cuts in the cashews and then twist them carefully, extracting all the juice from the fruit;
